Long time no post! Things have been quite busy after I came back from Alton Towers last week, I've made several upgrades or changes to my PC system, and am still in the process of finishing some of them. Hopefully it should be complete tomorrow, aslong as the post turns up :-) At long last my black leather office seat arrived from John Lewis, and it's well worth the obscenely high price tag, I feel that I could sleep in it it's that good. And at the moment it smells absolutely gorgeous; I want to get up in the morning just so that I can sit in it! So I'm now looking forward to a nice long weekend with the May Day bank holiday at the end of it. And then on Thursday we have the dilema of voting. I've got a few ideas on that, but I'm still not entirely sure who to go for...

Today has been one of the most beautiful days of this year, but I guess since this is Scotland that's the last I'll see of that kind of weather until next year. Hopefully not. I used the weather to my advantage, and took the camera out for a spin, so there are a few more shots in the gallery. Managed to get 6 really decent photos from about 60, so that's not too bad at all!

Just got back from Alton Towers, had a really really excellent time, and had some really good fun rides even though the weather was a bit poor (looks out at bright sunshine in Scotland!). I've added a few more photos to the gallery in various folders, so please help yourself!

Well, I have managed to catch up on my sleep now! I went to bed at 9.30PM last night, and got up at half 7 this morning, so I could catch an early train into town to do a bit of shopping before it got really busy. First stop was Jessops, where I spent about an hour haggling with the sales-person trying to get the best prices on two digital cameras, a lens, a memory card and so on. All in all I spent rather a lot in there, and I think they were rather happy at the end of it! I got asked some interesting security questions so that my VISA Debit card transaction would complete, but apart from that it all went very well.
Then I went on to Millets, to look for shoes. The good news was that Millets still did the shoes that I like, the bad news was they didn't have them in the correct size. So I went to Blacks, who had the same shoes, but again in the wrong size, so I settled on a slightly different pair, which cost a lot less than I expected!
Lastly I stopped off at Sainsbury's, to do a bit of grocery shopping. By this time I was carrying a million bags around with me, so I thought it was about time I caught a train home. I've put up 4 photos of the cameras in my image gallery, in the 'Cameras' folder.

I am at Göteborg's Landvetter Airport waiting for a flight back to Amsterdam, and then on to Edinburgh!

Well tomorrow I go away to ride a rollercoaster that possibly hasn't been ridden before. I'm actually slightly nervous about it, but I'm sure it will be fine! It's certainly very exciting anyway. Back on Friday!

Well, I finally received my Dell 2405FPW monitor today, and OH MY GOODNESS was it worth the wait! This is the first monitor I have looked at and instantly decided that I love it. It's perfect! There are a couple of pictures of it up in the Computers gallery if you're interested...

Well it has been a lazy Sunday, and a good weekend thus far. And one that can only get better with the impending new episode of Smallville and also Nip / Tuck! This week is also the start of many exciting things, with a trip to the unknown on Wednesday and many high-spec PCs to build in the mean-time. So, time to relax after cleaning out the flat (again) with a nice glass of cold Baileys...

When Ben says he'll be 30 minutes, why is it that I'm still waiting for him after almost an hour?

I've just watched Smallville on E4 and have realised how addicted I've become to it. It's amazing! And, to make life even better, there is a new series of Scrubs starting soon...

Have just finished watching I,Robot; very good film, possibly a bit scary if taken the wrong way. Anyway, it has made me very tired, so, good night!

I just realised that I haven't turned my 300watt uplighter on since I bought my desk lamp almost 14 days ago...

Well, the second episode in the new series of Doctor Who was even funnier than the first! But I hear that Christopher Eccleston will not be doing a second series now, and instead he'll be replaced, which is a great shame as I'm really starting to like him. He's funny. Anyway, hopefully writing this will inspire me to write something ever so slightly longer tomorrow for Micromart magazine! ARGH!

Well, after the hundreds upon thousands of poor quality April Fools' jokes, time for something serious. How much bad luck can someone have? The customer who continuously haunts me has now requested an RMA for an external hard disk, a 19" TFT monitor, and a whole PC, only days after receiving the two former items and having had the PC working perfectly for a few months. What is going on here? Did the world suddenly come to an end but someone forgot to tell me? I just don't know.
On a more positive note, I'm watching "The Living Daylights" just now, which contrary to most peoples belief, is very entertaining. It has of course been broken up by the news, which tonight is focussed around the end of the current Pope; John Paul. I hope this doesn't go on too much longer, for everyone's sake.
